2nd Sep 2008West Yorkshire Slag Heap Tour
After getting up too late for the intended South Pennines day ranger I thought I'd just gte a local West Yorkshire dayrover and have a tour of chavvy 'east' west Yorkshire, tis a scary place amongst the slag heaps and industry. Though the black stuff does mean freight and for once at Knottingley, I was rewarded when 31601+31105 came through on a test train, well chuffed, and 66716 turned up for good measure too!

The West Midlands
Friend visiting in Warwick and Tamworth over a week allowed a few opportunities to take soem photos. With my friend working one day I thought I'd get the massively expensive 65p CDR from Tamworth to Wilnecote for a different perspective. I wasn't to be disappointed with both a 56 and 20 showing up in the 90 minutes!

Sunny Scotland?
Spent a week in Stirling. The trees have grown so much in four years and many of the locations I had used previously for spotting are now massively overgrown. Hence I had to search far and wide for new locations.
4th Jun 2008Doorstep Adventures
So the sun was out. I had nothing to do so I thought I'd go see what was going on across the road from me. A fair mix of locos. Special thanks to the driver of the 57's who slowed for me to gte a good picture!

Northcountry Rover
This was mainly a rover of functionality, important meetings and the like, so just one day of real spotting. As usual, just my better more pretty photos. I'm a line basher not a number one, hence Lancaster to Bradford via Carlisle, Middlesbrough and Bridlington!!
10th May 2008Ribblehead Take 2
The light wasn't so great, so the pictures are somewhat grainy. Me and my mate principally went for a picnic. After devouring a whole pot of pesto houmous I fell into an Ombotrophic Peat Bog, and then we made a dam. Well you've got to do soemthing in the 40 minute gaps!

Easter Southern Adventures
So much travelling around, meant £100 was easily converted into orange cardboard, but hell it was worth it! A variety of locations from Gloucestershire and Somerset and intervening counties to Kent!

Late 2007/Early 2008
Always a quiet time of the year for me. I'm not as hard core as some and so I rarely brave the cold unless theres soemthing really good to go out for. These are a variety of photos from different locations, mainly when travelling around.

Bradford to Warwick via Arnside!?
Well early September brightened up, and I headed off down to sunny Warwick with a friend. Though as we drove from Lancaster I ended up on the West Coast once more, and we had lunch in Arnside, hence the every pretty photos of a viaduct! Mate lives minutes from Warwick Parkway and I spent an hour or so there. I heard the rumble of freight but never actually witnessed it, so just units in this selection, but scenery does make up a little!

North East Rover
The washout that was August seemed to dry up slightly towards the end, so me and my friend decided upon a North East Rover. Did some of those classic limited service routes including Brigg and Goole to Knottingley. Usual sort of locations for spotting though it was more a traveling week.

The South: Maidstone & Lymington
The annual, though admitedly its turning into quaterly trek south took me once again to sunny Kent, which again was pouring in rain. A leisure trip to Maidstone, just one photo. A few days later I took a trip to Lymingto to ride the CIG's and to appreciate the quaint town before stopping off at Millbrook on the return.
7th Jul 2007West Yorkshire Challenge
With friends I did a West Yorkshire challenge passing through all 67 station in West Yorkshire. There were many trials and tribulations and things looked decidedly poor. But through soem act of God, a fortunate bus at Glasshoughton allowed Normanton and then to Huddersfield finishing with Mirfield at 2154. Some nice shots of trains along the way
